Cloth Diapering

Where to buy? (Minnesota)

So I have finally gotten DH to agree to look into cd's as an option, where should we go to get a look/purchase diapers in the SW metro? I know my chances of getting him on board will be higher if he can see that they are not the "plastic pants" his mother keeps telling him are involved.

 TIA for the advice!

  • I use Peapods in Saint Anthony Park. It's North not South West, but they are great! Lots of varieties, knowledgeable staff, plus a lot of unique toys and things. They also have a diapers points program. Highly recommended!
  • Directions and me do not mix and I have never been to Minnesota so I don't know if any of these work for you but I found...

The Peapods in St. Paul has a small room in the back of the store full of cloth diaper and medela pumping stuff. I thought it was really cool since I don't have any stores like that near me. They had a nice variety of CDs and lots of super cute wet bags. My friend that lives near that store recommended it and she said the staff was very helpful like pp stated. I would definitely go back!
  • Target has some Charlie Banana CDs on end caps in the baby section. I saw them at the Richfield target (off 77 and 62) and in Brooklyn Park. GL!

  • Peapods is definitely a great suggestion--their selection is very large.

They have Bum Genius (all in one, flips, and pocket), Fuzzibunz, Rumperrooz, prefolds, and a few other brands.

Over and above what the others have said, I did want to mention that they offer a free cloth diapering class two Thursdays a month (call or check their website for exact dates) that I would highly recommend.  You could take the class, figure out what you want, and buy it all in one swoop.  Once you know what you want, you can also purchase more online:)

Love Peapods in general though---we registered there and every time we walked in, they would pull out our registry for us...without us telling them our names. Impressive.

  • All Things Diapers in Blaine. I know it's not in the SW, but they have a great selection and variety and are very helpful. I'm in St. Louis Park so it's not convenient for me either, but I'll make the trip when needed.

  • Thanks for the advice I will have to make my way to both of these at some point.
