We are currently using the pediatrician who little one saw in the hospital. They are very nice but quite a long drive from our house (the idea of trucking a sick child on a long drive is not something I'm looking forward to). No one we know has a pediatrician in the area so it's not helpful to ask people we know.
Do any of you have advice for specifically finding a pediatrician who spreads vaccines out rather than doing multiple shots on one visit? I'm not against vaccinating by any means but the idea of bombarding my baby's immune system with too much at one time does not sit well with me what so ever. (I understand that it is medically fine to do so, it's just something I do not want to do.)
Thanks in advance
Re: find a new pediatrician
It seems like any pediatrician should be willing to hear your desires when it comes to vaccinating your child. Our pediatrician has a set schedule for vaccinating but asked if we had any concerns or wanted to do anything different.
Also, most pediatrician's offices offer "meet and greet" appointments at no cost where you can meet with the doctor and ask questions, which would be a good time to get a feel for their flexibility when it comes to vaccinating.
