:o( 1 month pp and can't fit in old shorts

How long will it take before I can fit into my old clothes?  I had dd 1 month ago and only have 10 more pounds to lose but my button and zipper have a ways to go!!! I don't want to buy bigger clothes!!! Will my hips go back?

  • It took several months for me to fit into my clothes, even though I weighed less than before I got pregnant.  I'm almost 7 months PP and most of my pants now fit.

  • With DD it took me several months to fit into my normal clothes even though by the time I left the hospital I was well under my pre-pregnancy weight, even after that some of my clothes still did not fit the way I wanted them to.
  • Dude. I'm 9 weeks pp and am not even close to fitting into my pp clothes. Patience.

  • I can squeeze into my pp jeans and am 15lbs from my pp weight. I found the secret.  All of my jeans are stretch denim... Wink
  • I am almost 10 weeks PP and am only 8 pounds over my pre-preg weight, but cannot fit in my old jeans. All my weight was in my tummy. Patience.

  • So hard to say, it's different for everyone. This time around I am 1 month PP and back into most of my prepregnancy clothes. BUT with DD1 it took almost 9 months and of had work to get there. And some stuff just never did look right again.

No offense but give me (and more importantly -- you) a break. Your 4w pp... You'll get there with time. Focus on your LO, it passes by quickly and you'll be back to your size in due time.

  • Im 9 weeks PP and weigh less than I did when I got pregnant and nothing fits.  Maternity pants are too big, and regular clothes are too small!  Yippee!!  I dont know if its because I had a cs or not, but all my weight is right in front, in my belly, which wasnt there before I got pregnant.  I just figure if I keep working out, it will eventually go away lol

  • I'm 5 weeks PP and I don't feel huge, but I can't fasten any of my pants either.  I think most of my excess weight is still in my uterine region, which explains that.  I recommend sundresses.  They're more forgiving and more flattering, and I find them more comfortable than shorts too.  I just invested in three nice nursing sundresses to supplement my mostly crappy remaining wardrobe and I think they'll probably get me through the summer.
