...for every time someone said to dh or me, "get your sleep now while you can", I could probably pay for all the new little June bugs to go to college:)
Yeah, that's probably my number one irritating comment from people too. Do they think it's funny, or helpful? Cause I think it's slapworthy and yet I hold it in, because I'm a saint, apparently.

Mini-rant over:)
I know! It's like, oh really? I didn't know babies were up at all hours. Thanks for the info!

What irritates me is that sleep is so difficult already, and they act like it should be my job to get more. I go to sleep as early as I possibly can, wake up every hour or so to try to get comfortable, pee, or deal with acid reflux, and get up at 5:00 AM so I can go teach their kids. What about cycle that makes them think that I could possibly be getting extra sleep (or even enough sleep) right now?!? Thankfully, school let out Friday, so I might get some naps in between now and D-day.
It's like every.single.person. thinks we're clueless?!?! I'm pretty sure we've all been educated about the first few weeks & have long since been preparing! I just want to snap back with, "we're not idiots...."

As if there is some kind of imaginary "sleep bank" savings account that you could aggressively make deposits in now, and then withdraw later. Seriously???? People are idiots.

Haha! I so agree! I am also wondering why everyone feels the need to tell me terrifying birth stories about their neighbor or coworker, etc...I know to take it all with a grain of salt but geez, anyone with happy stories or something nice to say? Lol...

I'm just going to say this....I totally understand those comments are annoying. They were just as annoying to me when I was a FTM. HOWEVER, no amount of "preparation", "knowledge", etc can prepare you for what it is like in the very beginning. It is seriously like torture, but it is totally worth it in the end!!!!! It really is too bad you can't bank sleep, because it sure would we be nice to pull some out during those first few months! All I remember is feeling like a zombie and thinking it was never.going.to.end!!!!

Re: If I had a dollar....
Love it- What everybody is telling me to do is walk, and when I tell them I do, they one up me on how much they walked when they were pregnant.
