switching formula

i've been using the samples of similac advance that i got for free, but want to move DD to similac sensitive.  she was pretty chill going from BM to formula, so i think she will be ok to go from one kind of formula to another.  any advice?

Re: switching formula

  • I actually called the Similac "feeding expert" line about this when I made the switch.  She said that you can make a "clean switch" if you like, or you can gradually mix them.  But if you choose to mix, mix them just before serving rather than leaving mixed formula sitting in the fridge.

ETA if you call them and ask any questions, they'll send you two $3 coupons.  So even though you may just hear the same advice again, it doesn't hurt to call!

  • We switched between similac and enfamil and back for awhile in the beginning because of all the free samples and had no problems ( until he got sick from a genetic issue)
