39 weeks and painful urniation

I drink my water like a good FTM but yesterday and today when I have to pee it HURTS. As in pain in my lower back and abdomen enough to make me catch my breath and put those Kegals to good work and pause peeing. I still feel the pain for a little while after I finish peeing too. 

I'm not really sure if I have been having Braxton Hicks or if those pains are BH lol I had an ultrasound on Thursday to check the size and the tech told me I was closed and not effaced based on what he saw on the screen which goes along with what my dr. had told me on my appointment last Tuesday.

Anybody else ever experience this?

Not me-- are you sure it is not a UTI?  I have been told those are common in later pregnancy too.  Fun times.

Drink more water. It sounds like a UTI. I hope you feel better!

I agree that sounds like it could be a UTI.  I'd start drinking cranberry juice (pure or if you can only find CJ cocktail get Ocean Spray or whatever kind has the most % cran juice) and bring it up at your next appt or call if it gets worse.

I just had a very similar experience and it turned out to be a UTI, not fun!

 UTI....awesome lol I had not even considered that possibility since I was 39 weeks along. 

I'll keep an eye on it and hope it gets better or hope that Tuesday gets here fast so the doctors office is open again lol

Just so you know you should never wait to see if a UTI gets better. It doesn't. Go to the doctor today.
