Things are progressing

I went in for my cervical check (36 wks). It turns out that I am 1cm dilated and 50% effaced. The doc said it is kinda early for a FTM, so we will keep an eye on things - the appts are weekly at this point anyways.

It is exciting and a bit scary because DH is leaving for work for 3 wks and he will be 9h away.

You can walk dialted for weeks. I was 1cm dialted and 50% effaced at 36 weeks too. I am now 2cm dialted but still 50% effaced. I wouldn't put too much thought into that info.

 I know, that's why the next appt will be more indicative.

she checked mine too at my appoiment yesterday at 36w3d.. and said my external os was a little bit open and the inner os is still closed. no effacement yet . but i know these things dont mean much .

I was 70% 2 cm at 36 weeks 5 days...now at 39 weeks on Monday I was 100% 5 cm...and still nothing. I knew logically to not get my hopes up, but emotionally? Well, I REALLY thought my LO would be in my arms by now :-(.
