How many brands of pacis did you try?

We've tried four different pacis, and DD has no interest in any of them. I know they certainly aren't something babies must have, but the paci was a lifesaver with DS on more than one occasion.  Her complete rejection of them is making me think shes just not going to ever take one.

 How many pacis did you try before you either found one your LO liked or decided to give up?

Four, the same as you. And she never has liked one. The only one she'll let enter her mouth is a wubba nub (with the animal attached) and we keep it in the car because it will hold her off crying for 10 mins if i hold it in her mouth.

It would be so great if she used a paci, she's such a sucker. Oh well. Hopefully she'll retain this selective taste of hers into adulthood.....

3. Ds loves the gumdrop ones, but now will occasionally take the dr. Brown or tommy tippe ones.

We have tried 2, nuk and soothies....she won't take either. I still have avent and mam to try, but seems like a waste to keep opening packages to no avail.

He liked Soothies as a newborn, but after about a month or so - stopped taking pacifiers.  I'd guess we tried 4 styles.  He also refused all traditional teethers, including Sophie. 

When teething, he's always preferred cloth or his fingers.  Too bad it took numerous pacies and teethers to confirm that belief.

He started teething at 4 mo.

She loves her soothie pacifier but will also take a gumdrop one if it's a last resort.

4-soothie, nuk, dr brown and gumdrop. Nuk and dr brown are the winners. She can't keep the others in her mouth.

this for us too. DS never met a paci he didn't like, so I'm surprised this one wants nothing to do with them. It's early yet so we'll see.

L only loves Soothies and his Wubbanubs. He won't take others...I do have to stick my finger in there and move it back and forth to get him going on it, though.

I can't check right now because I'm nursing but I want to say at least 6! All the major brands and a few random ones. She hates them all. I only gave up because there literally aren't any I haven't tried- at least that I've seen at target or BRU. The only one she will allow in her mouth is this Playtex- "Most Like Mom" one   https://www.playtexbaby.com/mobile/Pacifiers/Binky/Most-Like-Mother-Latex-Pacifier (sorry its not clicky) but even that one she doesn't actually suck. I just hold it there and she plays with it until she calms down- and this only works sometimes. I wish she would take one too, especially for in the car! Good luck!

Two. She had the MAM in the hospital and wasn't a huge fan. We loved the Playtex Orthopro for our first LO, but they don't make it anymore. The Tommy Tippee was the closest, so we got it. She loves em. Something about the more "shaped" ones are good for our kiddos!
