My 14 month old is approaching 30 lbs. We still use our pack n play, especially when we travel. He is obviously nowhere near ready for a big boy bed. Not sure what to do when we reach that weight limit! Thoughts?
Yep, Phil and Ted's Traveller. The "base" sits on the floor, so all it has is height restrictions (ie, can climb out), there is no weight restriction. I would also suggest the Baby Bjorn, but it's twice the price. Nice thing is, the Traveller packs up ultra small and light, so it's great for travelling - I've fit mine inside my suitcase. I also have big babies, this worked out for me.
Re: Something with a higher weight limit than a pack n play?
I am confused so I looked at my directions for my PNP. Why would he not be able to use the PNP still at 30lbs? Can he climb out?
This is for my PNP (Graco Bermuda but I checked several different Graco models and it says the same thing)
DS is 31# and we still have to put him in a pack and play occasionally.
I can tell that if he gave the side a good shove or rammed himself into it that it would probably tip on its side because of his weight/strength.
Unfortunately if he is not contained he will not stay put though so we do still have to use it rarely.
