I'm looking for recommendations for some type of aftermarket strobe/LED marker light set to attach to my black double jogging stroller, or other reflective options that other MoM's have used that have been a success.
We're moving back to the burbs in a few weeks and I'm looking forward to being able to use the stroller on evening walks after supper so it's not so hot. I am concerned about being around neighborhood traffic and the stroller being visible to drivers. I have a Tike Tech brand double jogger with a front swivel wheel and it's very similar to many other brands available.
Re: Stroller safety marker lights or reflectors?
After some stupid teenage girl nearly ran into us in a crosswalk one night I covered our stroller in reflectors. I've had the best luck with a roll of stick on reflective tape (I found it on Amazon). It's great stuff. I've even put it on DD"s bike and shoes!
I wrapped it around the various stroller bars, spokes of the wheels and wherever else I could find a good surface. You might also have luck with those clip on strobe LEDs meant for the back of bikes.
Also, I wear a brightly colored jacket.
I would imagine that the clip on reflectors and strobes for bikes would do nicely. I also agree with PP about wearing bright colors. Even white is good, but never anything dark, or you won't be seen.
I think sporting goods stores also have reflectors and lights that you can wear, either clipped onto your clothing or shoes. They're usually with the stuff for runners and/or bikers.
