Mykaela Renae.  I came right over here from FB when a friend named his daughter this.  Hold on a moment while I pick my jaw up off the floor!  Im already not a fan of the name, but this spelling is so botched I don't even know what to say. 

 Sorry if you girls have seen this spelling before but I hadn't and thought I'd share

Mykaela doesn't really surprise me, NMS though!

My middle name is Renae as well...I don't know how or why my mother chose that spelling.

I just don't understand why people do that. Do they not understand that throughout their child's entire life they are going to be correcting people how to spell it?!?

My name is Joann and I have a hard enough time correcting people who want to spell it Joanne or JoAnn or JoAnne or Jo-Ann...

Michaela is one of those names that has sounds in it that can be represented a million ways in English... Mikayla is actually the most common spelling. Sad as this spelling is, it doesn't surprise me.
