I've just started thinking about the logistics of tandem nursing, so I apologize if this has been asked before.
DD and DS will be 20 months apart when he's born (about 15 more weeks). DD is still nursing right before bedtime some nights. I've just been letting her go at her own pace - if she wants to wean fine, if not that's great too!
Do you have any tips for tandem nursing my 2 under 2?
Also, can you recommend a good book to read about tandem nursing? I know we'll probably learn as we go, but I like to have a little background knowledge for stuff like this!
Re: Tandem Nursing
I'm nursing while PG, but not tandem yet. Read the book Adventures in Tandem Nursing for lots of tips, ideas, etc.
More Green For Less Green
Obviously you got the book recommendation taken care of.
I also didn't expect the nursing to pick up, but it did. There was a period when my toddler was nursing more frequently than my infant. However, it did taper back down, not down to once/day like it was, but I'm also a SAHM now and wasn't before the 2nd baby so he has more opportunities. He's also at a point now where I can tell him it's not a nursing time and he doesn't have a complete meltdown.
Feel free to ask any questions you have. I'm a big fan of tandem nursing but also have found myself just winging it and I'm not sure what questions someone might have.
Just FYI: I ordered this book on amazon last week, but it's put of stock. Hopefully it arrives before baby #2 arrives...
