so noisy! (repost from preemie board)

my baby girl (born at 35w) is so noisy when she sleeps! she grunts groans and strain almost like she needs to pass gas but her pedi said she sounds fine. she has a good amount of poops and pees every day. anyone else in this boat or been here? i sometimes have a hard time figuring out if she's actually crying or not.

I think its very normal.  My LO used to even snore and still does sometimes.  Once she was sleeping at the pedi's and snoring and making so much noise and I asked if it was okay and she said it was completely the norm.  They do get progressively quieter, but my 12 wk old still squeaks and grunts occassionally through out the night.  Its scary sometimes!

My almost 6 week old is the same.  It's worse when she's in early sleep.  Sometimes it's hard to tell if she's just starting to wake up.  I'm always tempted to pick her up when she does this!!
