I don't think I've written a post since our last failed cycled in February, but I have been keeping up w/ everyone.
So, after I last failed cycle we decided although we had one more vial of DS left we wanted to take a break and apply for domestic infant adoption. Well, it's the end of May and the paperwork we have to fill out is not even half completed and saved on a file and hasn't been looked at in over a month.
Sunday I got a phone call from a family friend asking if I would be interested in adopting 5 month old twin girls. Of course we said yes and she got us in touch w/ the lady looking for someone to adopt the girls. I can't really go into detail b/c you never knwo who's in the cyber world, but we are meeting the girls tomorrow afternoon. It's a really bizarre situation and there is some risk involved, but after everything we've been through we couldn't pass this opportunity up.
I haven't slept since Sunday and I have a huge knot in my stomach. Dh and I aren't letting ourselves get our hopes up, but things are moving really fast. The girls are precious! After we meet them tomorrow and go over the details and how it's going to work we are sharing w/ our families Sunday. Our families do know about our IF struggles, but they do not know about our plans to pursue adoption so they will be in shock to say the least!

After 3 years of infertility we were blessed with twin girls through private infant adoption.

IVF #2.1 in Oct 2010 converted to IUI = BFN
IVF #2.2 w ICSI in Dec 2010 = BFN
Met with new RE in new city on 1/31/11.
IVF #3 w ICSI in April 2011. HPT on 5/9 = BFP!
Beta #1 on 5/10 (10dp5dt) = 99.4. Beta #2 on 5/12 = 284. First u/s on 5/26. = Fraternal TWINS!
Twin boys born & lost on 8/16/11 at 18w1d due to PPROM & preterm labor.
IVF #4.1 in Jan 2012 converted to IUI on 1/7/12 = BFN
IVF #4.2 w ICSI in Feb 2012. Lupron on 2/10. Stims on 2/18. ER on 2/29- 7R,6F
ET scheduled for 3/5/12- nothing to transfer
Dh seeing new MFI uro & Dh starting meds- June 2012.
IVF #5 in Dec 2012 = BFFN.
IVF #6 planned for Spring 2013. Praying for our take home baby/ies.

It's been a long journey. TTC since 9/06. multiple IUI's and IVF's and 4 m/c's. IVF#3 = BFP, twins, induced at 34w6d due to baby b passing away (no explanation). Delivered on 35w1d, Baby A - baby girl, and Baby B - baby boy, our little angel.

BTW, DH's cousin and wife are in the process of adopting a 10 month old boy in a situation similar to yours.
