Dropping from full time to part time...

So this weekend is the weekend that I officially drop from full time to part time at work. The reason for originally doing this was so that I could be a SAHM in some sense.(this has been in the works for 4 months) and I would have been 5 months along right now. I was so for it when it meant in a few months I would be at home with my child 5 days a week, now the idea just kind of sucks, ecspecially now that it is summer and nice weather in wisconsin.

So here is to working two twelve hour shifts every sat. and sun. 48 weeks out of the year, doubling the cost of my insurance due to this... and having no reason for it as of now.   So frusterating!

Me(22)-DH(25) Started dating- June 2005 Married-Feb.2011 TTC#1 Since Jan. 2012- BFP Jan 31, 2012 3-15-12 Missed M/C at 10 weeks 3 days (baby measured 7w 3d)

    Ugh. I am so sorry. It's awful how so much of planning for a family can backfire when the family part doesn't happen when you plan it to.  One of my best friends took a job 2.5 years ago at a lower pay rate because it offered more flexibility and she was TTC.  Today she is undergoing IVF and still no baby- but she's had to watch peers advance into higher positions with higher salaries all because she planned for a family that hasn't come about yet.  It's ridiculously unfair.

    I'm sorry, that is so frustrating.  I wish I had some words of wisdom, but that really sucks and I'm sorry that you have to deal with this.  (( Hugs ))

    They already filled my previous position, and I guess the later isn't that great..it is full time night shift. So I'm still super excited to get off of that... but its just another great reminder of what I should be doing soon.

    Oh no, Im sorry. That does stink! Im sorry you are frustrated and that they have already filled that position. =( I don't have much advice except that maybe you can take up a hobby or volunteer work that could help =)
