It's been a few weeks since our loss and words has gotten out that we lost the baby. Last night I got a message from old friend that I haven't talked to in year. He told me that his wife and he had been trying for 3 years and have suffered 5 miscarriages all at 8-10 weeks gestation. They keep trying but no diagnosis to date.
It really got to me how hard that must be. It made me think that my DH and I are really lucky. Although we lost our Isabelle, at least we know what's wrong and our OB has a plan to deal with it. Many people don't.
I have been here posting for about a week now and have noticed in the sigs of many of the women here that many have had multiple losses. The experience with my friend made me want to reach out to those women with multiple losses (especially those with no diagnosis). I can't truly imagine what it's like and I hope that you have a good outcome soon.
Re: A little perspective
They are undergoing some genetic testing right now (both of them), but did not ask what exactly. (Cost is not a concern, as we are in Canada)
