menstrual-like pain

This is new. Last night I woke up to menstrual pain (definitely not a contraction). It was like full-on, day 2 of a bad period. I went back to sleep and it was gone in the morning. Then yesterday it came back for a little while in the afternoon/evening. And now I just woke up and here it is again.

Is anyone else feeling menstrual-like pain?

  • Yup.  That's what woke me up this morning.  Then I realized it was happening every 10 minutes.  So, I have been timing contractions now for 2 hours.  Each time I think I may need to go wake up DH, they slow down.  Then when I decided to go back to bed they rev up again....Urgh.
  • Yep i get them all the time. They are sometimes timeable for even 3 hours for me ad go away. I consider these my painfull braxton hicks. Last sunday i had full on contractions for an hour or so those hurt in a totally different way
  • I've been having this too, and I am dialating and my cervix has thinned out a lot, so these "cramps" (for me) are actually doing something.

  • I get these cramps, too. On Saturday as I was driving to a wedding, I had them constantly in waves for about an hour. It was so like starting my period, I was a little bit freaked out. Thankfully once we finally got there and I could walk around a bit, it eased up. Like pp, I am also starting to thin and dilate. My OB thinks I will go into labor this coming week (ack!) and said the cramps were probably moving him down into position.

  • Yes, definitely!

  • Yep, perfectly normal. I've had it for weeks now. There's still a lot of ligament stretching and pressure there (especially this late in the game), so that's what's causing a lot of the pain.
