Scar tissue on cervix?

I am going for a vbac but we are dealing with some scar tissue on the cervix from a previous cryo in 2003 and d&c in 2009.

I am 75%effaced now and not dialated. Dr. said if I can get 1-2 cm dialated she could try and break up the scar tissue.

Anyone gone through this? Have any advice? Anything I can do to try and get my body ready?

    No advice but I have heard success stories before where breaking up the scar tissue worked.  GL!

    Me too.  What about taking and/or inserting evening primrose oil to help ripen the cervix?  I wonder if it would help soften the scar tissue at all?  I've read somewhere (sorry I don't remember where) that massaging the scar tissue when you're in labor can help a stalled/difficult labor.  Maybe trying googling for related stories?
