Just keep trying =) Mine never pukes but just doesn't care for it yet.  He is 13 months now and finally eating most of his meals as solids.  Since he still likes purees though we do use the pouches for snacks on the go and we do do a pureed veggie at dinner because we can't get many veggie solids in him.
  • Does he know how to pick up the food? Why is he puking - from gagging? DD never puked or has gagged on food maybe you need to cut it smaller, your still going to need to cook everything so its soft for him since he doesnt know how to eat harder foods. Try butternut squash steam it, cut it up small like pinky nail size and it gets so soft but good enough to pick up.

Watermelon and banana is one thing but cantaloupe is a bit on the hard side my DD cant even eat that. And she eats a wide rage of foods. Stay away from hard foods, expecially since he cant eat soft foods.

If he can pick it up i would say just give it to him and he will adventually learn, but hes older now and will get really hungry that milk wont satisfy.

We also dealt with a lot of puking.  Even with the stage 3 foods with the little chunks in the purees. It was like when a chunk would get to the back of this throat he'd gag and sometimes puke. It was very frustrating. My only advice is to keep trying and make sure the food is soft enough for him to mush up.
