Hello ladies,

Welp, I finally got the confirmation that I needed:  diagnosis of blighted ovum.  

Oddly I feel a sense of relief.  I wanted this pregnancy to work sooo badly, but somehow I had this sense that something was very wrong.  The strange u/s at 5 wks and the spotting last weekend only strengthened that worry, and I spent all week curled up crying on the couch either with my puppies or with my DH after he got off work.  It's good to finally at least know SOMETHING.

So, now I suppose all I can do is wait for my body to do what it needs to do and allow it to heal.  I'm hoping that everything happens naturally, but I will follow my betas to zero with my OB to be sure.

I plan on cleaning up my eating significantly (It's amazing how the only appetizing food when you're emotionally distraught is COOKIES!!) and get back to working out (jogging, spin, yoga, weights).  Mostly I'm just trying to stay positive.  Letting myself remain down about this is not going to get me anywhere.

Hmm.. well, thanks for reading.  I'm sorry that we find ourselves in this club--I know it's a place no one wants to be..  but I find a lot of comfort in knowing I'm not alone and I hope we all get ourselves that baby bump we've always wanted!

    By the way, I know I'm technically not going to be TTC for a couple more cycles, but I feel like preparation is a part of it!!  :)

    I'm so sorry for your loss. Welcome to the board, hope your stay here is short. I know what you mean about working out! I wasn't allowed to work out for 8 weeks after my m/c and it was torture! It's been great to finally get some frustration out physically.

    BFP#2 2/27/13. Empty sac confirmed 3/20/13. Mifepristone + cytotec.
    Currently TTA until Fall 2013, waiting for operative hysteroscopy

    I'm very sorry for your loss. I admire your positive attitude, but I just want to remind you that it's okay to sulk and grieve and feel sorry for yourself for a while. Don't bottle up those emotions. ((hugs))
    It was a rough road, but Arlo Daniel was born April 1, 2013—and our second rainbow is due October 12, 2014.

    Welcome and as PP said, I hope your stay is short and sweet. I think you have a good outlook so far. I know looking positive towards the future always helped me in the past. Working out and trying to take care of your body helps mentally too! Good luck!

    Lots of testing, all clear with the exception of compound heterozygous for the MTHFR mutation. 

    Cycle 1: Femara, trigger shot, Bravelle added due to slow response = BFN
    Cycle 2: Cancelled due to two cysts =(
    Cycle 3: Femara, Bravelle, trigger shot and IUI = BFP then loss #3
    Cycle 4: Femara, Follistim, trigger shot and IUI = BFP!  EDD: 6/7/14
