Unnecessary BFN thrown in my face...

So when I checked in for my procedure yesterday they asked me if I was pg.  I told them no, explained my situation, and that I chart, AND that AF was currently visiting so I was indeed quite sure that I was not.  Since I would be going under general anesthesia they insisted that I take a pg test.  Well whaddya know--BFN.

Ugh.  I was so irritated.  I wanted to tell them how stupid it was of them to make me POAS at CD5 (wicked, Petra, and some of the other veterans would have flamed them lol), and I ended up getting emotional and crying at getting a BFN (even though I knew that was what I would get).  So I had DH step in and set them straight a bit.

Just a little vent on the stupidity of some people in the medical field...

    What brats!  Ugh I am so very sorry!

    This is why when I had to go to the doc and they wanted me to test, I said, "Find me only if it is positive." 

    Still, so sorry.  What brats!  Hugs and love to you.  I'm glad your husband was able to intervene.

    Sorry hun. There actually is good reason for them to have you do that though. All 3 of my pregnancies, I had a period and 2 of them I got it before finding out I was pg. But still, (((HUGS)))
    3 ectopic pregnancies (EDD's 1/30/12-tube removed, 6/2/12-methotrexate and 10/2/12-methotrexate)
    IVF and Natural FET resulted in BFN's and a hole in our wallets
    Natural BFP #4 on 9/7/12 gave us our miracle on 5/18/13

    Ugh! That sucks.  I had to have a CT scan done on my sinuses shortly after my m/c, and I answered "no" to the are you pregnant question and they still made me POAS too.  It was depressing.
