Wakeful-12 months

Please tell me this is a phase!! My son will be 1 next tuesday and for the past week and half has been getting up around 2:30 every night talking to him self. Not crying at all, just having a conversation with himself. After about an hour we have to go in and give him a bottle to get him back to sleep! He has just learned to walk and has started talking up a storm. I wonder if his brain is on overload with the learning and he is just practicing in the middle of the night?

Has anyone esle had this happen? THANK You!!

I just don't understand why people have to define these "wakeful" periods.  They're babies; they're unpredictable; they wake up for unknown reasons at times.  Everything is a phase.  Sounds like he has lot going on and wants to practice.

Sounds like a phase to me too.  Have you tried letting he go back to sleep on his own?  It seems like he'd eventually tucker out.    Good luck!

If he was only talking I would let him go back to sleep on his own. Ours wakes up and cries.
