I know they went through some kinda format change where post-counts were changing... I haven't been on TK or TN for long, BUT - you've got only about 50 posts til you're bronze!!!

You don't (intentionally) up your post count by begging for a GTKY. You don't do it by posting multiple YGPM responses. You don't do it by playing games. You do it by being a long-term, active, supportive member of this board. I know it can feel frustrating to hang onto that newbie status, but I also am not okay with people intentionally jacking up post counts just to jump the gun on what will happen naturally over a few months. It's almost like falsifying your status, KWIM?

Now, I in no way mean to imply that the posters in this thread aren't active, supportive members of this board--many, if not all, of you are. This is in no way an attack on any of you. But sometimes you need a little patience.

Just my two cents. 

Well, I'm going to shine a little sunshine on your "debbie downerness" back when I first started on this board, we did GTKY ALL the time, someone would ask multiple questions and tell you answer them in multiple posts just to up your post count. It's all in good fun to start with.... Also, I have faced reality to many many things on this board and not EVERYTHING has to be so serious all the time. I think a little fun to up your post count is no big deal, as long as your as counter-acting that with love support (which I am) and I wouldn't have gotten so defensive over your comment if it wasn't for the fact that I was the original poster on it.... now, that's just my two cents worth....

Then, to use my mom's favorite expression, we agree to disagree--agreeably. I'm okay with that. I hope you realize that.

I'm also okay to agreeing to disagree. Thank you for clearing up what you meant. I also believe you are a valued member of this community and hope you continue to stay that way.

Well this thread was exactly what I needed last night. I was crying my eyes out after having a flashback and came to this board. This chit chat thread was exactly what I needed to distract myself. Not all support comes in the form of "thinking of you" "hugs" and "let's talk about our losses." Sometimes it's nice just have a mundane thread where I can chat and try to forget the reason why I'm here in the first place - at least for a few moments.
