It went really well! All our blood work (mine and my DH's) was completely normal and his SA was awesome! My HSG was considered abnormal as there was scar tissue on both sides. She thinks it's probably a minor endometriosis but at this point isn't too concerned with it affecting me getting pregnant and doesn't think a laparoscopy is necessary. She is, however, very concerned with how late I ovulate and the quality of my egg once I do ovulate. She is starting me on 50 mg Clomid + a trigger shot once the egg is ready next cycle and I feel really good about this. We are feeling nervous but very hopeful!
Anyone have experience with Clomid + trigger shot? I've read lots of experiences with Clomid but don't remember seeing the trigger shot.
Re: Update to follow-up RE appointment
My experience with Clomid was not a good one ....so I don't have a lot of good things but I do have some suggestions to maybe combat some of the issues I cam acroses.
One of the unfortunate side effects of Clomid may be thin lining (mine was very thin while taking Clomid). I have heard that POM juice can really help your lining so you may want to invest in some of that for the cycle just incase.
I didn't use the trigger because I was on a "mock cycle" but I should have because my follicles ended up getting too large. I think that the fact your doctor is thinking about triggering you is a great thing.
Good luck to you and hopefully this is your magic key! It is a relief when you know you are doing something different and it can give you that hope that things will be ok.

PgAL/PAL welcome, always!
I'm glad your appointment went so well, sounds like a great plan! I did four clomid cycles, 2 with the trigger shot. With clomid I had hot flashes and extreme emotions (like could not stop crying several times within a cycle). I was very bloated and had painful O (not horribly, but I definitely felt it).
I used the trigger shot my last two cycles (with my RE) and I felt much more confident with that because you can feel good about having a couple good days of TI, rather than making a marathon out it when your follies are close to mature.

I did Clomid + Ovidrel + IUI 3 times with 2 pregnancies. The Ovidrel is no big deal, really. The needle is small and I've given myself the injection all 3 times. I ususally ice it for about 30 seconds before hand. If you're an early tester, I'd recommend that you buy some cheap Wondfo tests on Amazon so you can test out the trigger as it is a shot of hcg. It was always out of my system by 7dpo.
I'm probably beating a dead horse, but make sure you're getting proper monitoring on Clomid. If you're with an RE, I'm sure you will. I hope this works for you! GL!
ETA: I'm glad that your appointment went so well. I remember feeling very hopeful after my first appt.
