I just sat down to update Em's baby book after a few months and couldn't believe how much there was to fill in now! It's amazing how fast they can grow and change. Are you keeping up w/ LO's book?
LOL...you mean the book i meant to buy to put this pile of stuff into...LOLI never found one I liked enough to purchase so now i have a plastic bin with all her "one day to be scrapbooked" items?.just another thing on the to do listHopefully I?ll do something with it before she starts elementary school because my original goal was before she turned one

Haha, yeah, I had to just go to a bookstore one day and not leave w/o one because I knew I'd end up in the exact same situation if I didn't! It's done its job though so I'm glad for that.
I bought a scrapbook and was going to make my own pages. I was all gung-ho about it before he was born, bought the scrapbook paper to line the pages but didn't do the math right and didn't buy enough paper. Still haven't bought more! I did print the pages I created though and thankfully I saved them on the computer because I have zero idea where they are. I am determined to get it somewhat caught up before his birthday so I can pretend I was keeping it up. The good thing though is that I wrote down milestones on his chalkboard wall as they came up, so I know the dates of things!
I've been keeping up with it because it's really important to me. My parents did not make one for me and they didn't take a whole lot of pictures either and it makes me a little sad as I'm sure DD would have liked to look through something like that of mine if I had one. DH's mom made one for him but she didn't do a great job of filling in all of the details. She said it's because he was her second child and by then she was too busy. She did give me what she had, which was nice of her. It has some really sweet pictures of DH when he was a baby.
DH: 34/Me: 35 Married: Feb 2008 DD: June 2011 TTC# 2: April 2014 BFP!! 8/29/16 --> EDD: 5/11/17....it's a GIRL!!!
Yes. She has a fill in calendar with dates that she started doing things (first time out to eat, first steps, first tooth, etc), a rather large baby book filled with pics, monthly updates, balloons from the hosp, pics of gifts from 1st christmas/christening/hospital, and she also has a book filled with "love letters" from before she was born. We asked both sides of our fam (gparents, aunts, uncles, me, dh) to write LO a letter before she was born saying how much we already love her and what our hopes/dreams are for her one day. I also have filled up two large photos albums of baby pictures- one from newborn to 6 months and one from 6-12 months.
Needless to say, I am exhausted, but it's incredible to look back on! I don't have anything from when I was little, not a baby book, not a photo album, nada. My mom just threw all of our pics in shoe boxes. Ha. Anyway, I hope she will reflect on it one day and be grateful that I took the time to do it.
I was totally going to make a clicky poll for this earlier today and then got too busy...!
I bought all the stuff to make a scrapbook-style book and I've finished 2 pages so far. I've been writing things down to put in it and printing out pictures for it at least! I really have to finish it before Baby #2 is born...

That sounds really amazing. The baby book just has facts in it. I've printed out all the pics from her first year but I still don't have an album. That should be next on my to-do list...
Just finished updating DD's baby book. Man it's crazy how fast time has flown! I'm really good with taking pictures of her and have all of them organized but writing down in the baby book is another story.

I have been pretty good with doing it every month. Now those onesie pics I will not miss doing. So glad they stop at 12 mos!
I am already on our 4th photo album of her and have all her clippings and stuff in the baby book. It is exhausting!
