Taking forever to fall asleep

All of a sudden DS is taking foreeeever falling asleep for naps and bedtime. After sleep training, we were able to just put him down in his crib for a nap or bedtime, walk away, and he'd fall asleep without a peep. Now he will cry, babble, and cry some more for up to an hour before falling asleep! It is getting soooo frustrating. Is it because he's learning how to walk? Is it because he's more curious? Should I try to drop him down to one nap a day? Opinions, please!!

  • I don't have an answer, but I can tell you the same thing is happening at my house.

  • I'm dealing with this too- except  that I hold/ nurse Maya to sleep so it's taking a big chuck out of my day/ evening.  Even though I know she's exhausted she will cry, squirm, and try to crawl out of my arms and off the bed.  If I let her, she will crawl off then start crying and gesturing for me to pick her back up (she can get off the bed but not back on).  I have no advice either, but I hope it doesn't last much longer!
