Doublers and inserts

DD is almost fitting into pockets so we'll soon be done with pre-folds. I know nothing about inserts and doublers. What are your favorite types or what do I need to know about them?

Do you have pocket diapers?  Did they come with inserts?  I would start with the inserts that came with the diapers and see how you like them.  At some point you might need to add a doubler so that the diaper holds more pee.  I love Hemp Babies diaper doublers to use with microfiber inserts.  I also bought Kawaii bamboo inserts and use those instead of microfiber in a lot of my BumGenius diapers.
