Silly Superstitions

So a while back, my ?friend? told me the woman who waxes her is pretty superstitious.  She is from Russia and one of their superstitions is that if you want to KU not to put your purse on the floor, which I always do.  I do not normally believe in superstitions but I have lately found myself putting my purse on the chair next to me instead of the floor.  I guess I figure I could use any luck, true or untrue, I can get and I am not even officially TTC again, yet! 

 

So my questions are:

 Are you superstitious?

What are the best ones you have heard?

Are you following them?

I'm really not so I don't much pay attention to any of them.  But I'm pretty sure the purse on the floor one has to do with money...not pregnancy.  "A purse on the floor is money out the door."  Or something like that.

I was born on a Friday the 13th, so I am a walking superstition! 

No one has told me any, probably because I haven't told anyone we are TTC.

I don't' know if it's a superstition, but my mom has told me (in addition to the wonderful "it will happen when you stop stressing about it) is that the ladies at work told her to tell me to take Geritol.  Apparently that's ALL we have to do to get KU is take Geritol. *eye roll*

Now that I think about it, I guess you could call me a little superstitious.  Although, I don't find it superstition as much as I find it logical... But, for the first year + some of trying, I would not buy anything baby related.  I wouldn't even accept a baby tee that my mom got for our future child (she didn't know we were trying at the time).  I just didn't want the stuff reminding me how long we had been trying.  I bought the first blanket when I got my +HPT.

I am very supersticious.  I wore a certain bracelet that was not even that cute throughout my entire pregnancy just because I wore it the day I got the BFP.  

My Gran takes it to a whole new level - besides the normal not breaking mirrors and walking under ladders she has things like if you're walking in a pair you shouldn't separate if you hit an obstacle, ie like a pillar at the mall because that means you'll get in a fight.  Also whenever a baby is due in our family if anyone older is sick she always obsesses about it because she says if the baby is born the same day the other person dies the baby will have their personality.  I have NO idea where she gets these.
