I don't understand. Formula can only be left out for 1 hour or 2 in the fridge. How does this pitcher work that you can pre-make so much and it's still safe for consumption?
Ahhhhh! I couldn't find one description of it other than less air online. Is it because it's airtight that it can last so long? Do you warm up the bottle at all? DD won't take cold bottles.
Pre-made powdered formula is good for 24 hours in the fridge. This is true if you pre-make the formula in a regular bottle too. It's only good for an hour if it's left out of the fridge.
I don't warm up the bottles because DS takes them cold but you could always use a bottle warmer. Microwaving is generally not a good idea because it creates hot spots and if you shake the formula bottle then you're just creating more bubbles.
I use the Dr. Brown's formula pitcher and LOVE it! My son is not a fan of cold bottles either but I can generally anticipate when he is ready to eat so I fill up the bottle and sit it in a cup of hot water and take DS up to change his diaper by the time I am done that bottle is warm enough (pretty much room temp.) for DS to enjoy. If you are contimplating the purchase I can't tell you enough how great it is. I usually make 20 ounces at a time which DS will go through before the 24 hour time limit on refrigerated pre-mixed formula.

Or you can get a mug of hot water and let it sit in there for a couple minutes.

We microwave and then shake them to remove the hot spots and don't get bubbles. We pre-mix the formula in the pitcher (OP, the one hour thing is once they've started consuming it, but that's whether it's refrigerated or not, it's good for 24 hours in the fridge) and after we put the formula in the pitcher we put in 2 vials of gas drops and then mix it. We get no bubbles in the pitcher and no bubbles when we shake the bottles. If we don't use the gas drops we gets tons of bubbles when we mix it and when we shake them (which we would have to do even if we didn't microwave since we have to add cereal for reflux).
ETA - It's not really airtight. It's just like a regular beverage pitcher, and especially since you twist the top to pour it out air is definitely getting to it at various times.

I thought something seemed odd so I went back to read the formula we use, Earths Best and it can only be in the fridge for 2 hours. I just assumed that was standard for all but guess not :-)
