New to the board

Hey everyone. My name is Angie Williams and my husband and I have been married for almost a year. Anniversary is June 25th! Can't believe how fast time has flown. Anyways, we have been TTC since September now with no luck :( My husband decided to go to the urologist and get checked and get a sperm count in March. We really didn't expect anything to be wrong just figured we'd rule it out. Well, we were wrong. My husband was diagnosed with varicoceles and the sperm count showed that he has 3% morphology. Basically they told us as of now we have an extremely low chance of getting pregnant on our own. My husband had a varicocelectomy on May 11th. Now we have been told to wait 6 months before getting Sperm Analysis done again. This is is starting to completely drain me emotionally and I truly am trying to stay positive. We have found a lot of research about natural supplements and diets that can help with morphology/varicoceles and we are getting ready to try it. However, it's still hard! Anyways... Just thought I'd share my story. Other than that my hubby and I are very happily married and loving life. We just can't wait to be blessed with our own little miracle so that we can love life even more! Can't wait to get to know all of you! :)

Re: New to the board

  • Well congratulations on your marriage and Im so so sorry to hear of your bad news... but if I could just give you a little ray of hope...  first there is Jesus who died for our healing, I would definitly do a lot of research on Him and his free gift of healing for your and your husband,,,, but second... I have a friend who waited 14 years to get pregnant.... she had fully given up when all of a sudden she found herself pregnant....Now... Im not trying to say you have to wait 14 years, Im just saying Miracles happen all the time.....  I pray that your belly and arms are full of baby love and I speak by faith that your husband will receive his healing and you will find yourself pregnant with hope and with a baby......   I know this is WAY WAY WAY off and WAY  to early to consider but here is a link to a blog..... My cousin gave her baby away for adoption    her blog address is https://sailingmywaythrough.blogspot.com    and the mother who adopted the baby's blog address is https://rebekahpinchback.blogspot.com        those are some pretty fantastic ladies right there and their story is amazing!!!!!!!     Many blessings over you!!!

As an adoptive parent, the language "gave a baby away" is kind of looked at in a derogatory way.  "Made an Adoption Plan" is much more adoption friendly.

Just taking an opportunity to educate.

OP: I'm sorry to hear about your MIF.  Wishing your hubby a successful surgery and positive numbers on his SA in 6 months!

  • Thanks so much for the kind words! I'm trying to stay positive and as much as I have no problem with adopting that's not even on my mind yet. My mind is simply on my husband's surgery being successful!!!
