Since I started spotting now it is very possible I will have a regular flow by tomorrow making it cd1. Only problem is I still haven't bought a bbt yet so if I want a temp for cd1 should I just use a regular thermometer for tomorrow and pick up the right kind to use the rest of the mOnth?
Re: Dumb BBT ques
Yes.
Personally, I have a really awesome digital thermometer which does everything that a BBT thermometer does-- takes temps to a tenth of a degree instead of by 2 tenths of a degree, has a recall function, etc.

I would say start temping as soon as possible-- yes, pps are correct about your temp not changing until you O, but the point is to know what your pre-O temps are, especially if you're not using OPKs to predict your O day.
The reason I say start asap, however, is that like any habit, it takes time to make it automatic. Even after 8 months of charting/temping, I still have days when I wake up and forget to take my temp immediately and then I get an inaccurate temp that day (sometimes right around O time). It's good to get into the habit as soon as possible.
GL! It's amazing what you learn about your body while temping!

I second this! It's hard to get into the habit of doing it. I'm having to restart this cycle because I gave myself a month off and I haven't managed to temp once this week! I keep jumping up to pee or take the dogs out...
Me too!
