TTC after 35

Well, burst my bubble :(

I am starting to spot now.  So fertility guru's. When do I start counting cd1, tonight?  Also how do you temp?  Just a very basic rundown would be great and then I will look for additional info at fertility friend.

Re: Well, burst my bubble :(

  • I'm sorry :(

I count CD1 as full flow (not spotting).  Temping is easy.  You just need a basal body thermometer (digital with memory).  I keep mine next to my nightstand.  It is best to temp at the same time every morning.  I just pop it in my mouth, wait for it to beep, and go back to snoozing.  Then when I'm awake and ready I record the temp in fertility friend.  For beginners, just charting your temp is a good start.  Once you get the hang of it you can track other things like cervical mucous, cervix position, OPK's, etc.  I just stick to tracking my temps.  Good luck!

Sorry to hear that.  As the PP said CD1 is the first day of actual flow.

Check out the Fertility Friend website and you will learn all you need to know about charting/temping.  I also recommend reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility.

    Good Luck!
