my son is about to be 11 months old and he still sleeps in a sleep sak. i was about to go buy the next size for him but i'm wondering if i should stop having him sleep in them anymore. do i use a blanket now? he's all over the crib at night and will end up kicking it off like he does when he naps (i don't use a sleep sak during naps..only at night). and if i use a blanket...are just regular pjs warm enough? or do i layer him? ugh...help.

We ditched the sleep sack about a month ago. She was getting too big for it and I didn't have time to buy her the next size (even I ordered it online she would have slept a night or 2 without). I put a blanket over her but she's also all over the crib & usually ends up uncovered. But with the warmer weather starting in our area she's been fine with out it. We haven't layered, just regular PJ's.
Good luck!
Now that the weather has gotten warmer, most nights they don't use their sleep sacs. They just wear PJs. They never wore the sleep sac for naps, just at night, so maybe that helped make the transition easier.
We only use them when it is cold. I actually just brought one to daycare today because with the air conditioning on, she'll need something extra to sleep in. The extra large Halo sleepsacks have feet holes...

We live in WI...so in the fall I'll likely get more sleepsacks. I don't want her kicking off a blanket and being cold.
