Is it that time already?!? I think DD is getting her bottom molars. Her gums are very raised and I can actually feel both molars (or I guess these are pre-molars?) right beneath the skin. She's been sleeping and sucking her thumb more than usual - her standard teething routine. I guess I thought these came later but she seemed to be really early on all her other teeth too. Any other LO's with molars already??

DS is definitely teething on the molars. He has all 8 already in the front and has been on the early side for getting them in. He's drooling like crazy again and chomping on his fingers. Nothing has poked through yet, but the gums are raised.
Related: We took DS to urgent care on Mothers Day because he spiked a high fever and I mentioned that DS was teething on the molars. The Dr totally gave me the side eye and said that he's definitely NOT teething and it would be HIGHLY unlikely that he'd be getting molars this early. Wtf. I wanted to slap him for the way he talked to me. And because he's just wrong!!

A kind of stalled with getting teeth. She got her first two lower central incisors at 6 months, then her upper centrals at 8 months. She has one upper lateral incisor and the other just doesn't want to come in yet. And nothing else appears to be coming any time soon.
In an ideal world the incisors are all in by age 1 - but every child is obviously going to be different. My child is a little behind, yours is a little ahead. Still very, very normal. The 1st molars are the next to come in (ideally around 14 months) so it sounds like she's right on track!
I guess she's just preparing early for some steak maybe?
ETA: Not like it really matters, but there are no premolars in baby teeth. But those molars will eventually be replaced by adult premolars. Fun dental fact of the day!
