Any 9 month olds not crawling? My LO is almost 9 months and does not crawl. She can get up on all fours and rock but usually starts crying. She can scoot on her bum, army crawl in circles, and crawl maybe one step if she really wants something. Other than that, nothing
thanks
Re: crawling
I am from the LGBT board...just check this board regularly because our LO is in the age range. He will be 10 months in a few days. He gets up on hands and knees a little, but his movement is all army crawl. He is loving this new movement and giggles and giggles as we crawl around with him. He's pretty quick too. I think it's normal.

DD has a couple weeks until she is 9m, but she is no where near crawling. She just got to the point yesterday where she will push up with her hands and all of her belly comes off the floor. I think she is trying to figure out how to her her knees underneath her, but no luck yet. If I put her in the hands and knees position she will stay there for a minute or so, but no rocking--if she moves she belly flops
She is much more interested in walking. She's been standing on her own for about 1.5m, cruising for about 1m and just a few days ago, she took her first steps.
PPs are correct, some babies never crawl and professionals consider butt scooting and army crawling - crawling (in terms of questionaires). DS turned 1 today. He pulled into the crawling position at 6 months, would do a few backwards crawls, but then he'd give up and stopped trying all together. At 9 months he was rolling to get around but nothing else. I was worried and took him for eval - pedi said he was fine, he was ahead on his fine motor and communication.
Just shy of 11 months he started army crawling all over the place (it's amazing how fast they can get around like that!). A few days ago I caught him do a few normal crawls to get at a toy, then when he had it he dropped down to army crawling again, so I know he can do it that way if he wanted to, he just doesn't want to. He pulls-up and cruises, pretty close to taking his first steps. Don't worry about it - if you have an army crawler then gross motor is fine at 9 months. They get around the way they like best.
Nick's almost 11 months and still not crawling either. He's not pushing up or pulling up. He's working with EI now.
Tim never crawled but scooted.
