maddielynn321 - I think the idea of starting June fresh with a grocery budget and freezer meal plan is great. I'm trying to get together with a friend to do some crockpot freezer cooking. How did your garage sale go? Did you make any money? How much junk did you get rid of?

maddielynn, thanks for noticing the quote. I was feeling like no one actually read it and I was finding it harder and harder to find good quotes. But now that I know you read it, I'll continue looking! And yes, I like that quote too.

I'm really glad that your garage sale went well and you made some money. Good luck with the move this weekend. And I totally get your excitement about making a new budget. I'm weird like that too.

Have you set your goal and made your plan to achieve it?
I haven't really made any goals lately. I was sick all last week so I spent a lot of time in bed watching Gilmore Girls. Maybe this week will be better.

What have you done to work towards your goal?  Are you on track with meeting your goal?
Not exactly. We aren't necessarily behind but we could definitely do better. We still owe money on our taxes and that's a significant chunk.

Did you have any setbacks this week?
I've been slacking lately and I spent $50 on clothes this weekend. But they were second-hand and I got 6 new tops so that's good right? And I went over in my grocery budget since my sister was here.

What is your tightwad tip of the week?
Don't run to the store for one item! Try really hard to do all your grocery shopping in one trip because when you go back, you'll usually end up buying more than the one needed item.

Oops, and the business is going well. DH has gotten a couple more calls from people he doesn't know so that's always a good sign. He's keeping busy and working late so yay for successful days!
