Updated: Ughhh, I have a cyst!

I'm so dissapointed.  Good ol' AF showed up this weekend.  I had my cd 3 monitoring appointment this morning and low and behold I have a huge cyst on my left side at 18mm.  I also had a smaller one on my right side at 11.5 mm.  The nurse said the cut off is 12mm in order to proceed with a medicated cycle.  Looks like we will be taking a break and not doing another injectable cycle this month. I just hope I don't have a 60+ day cycle this time so we can get this show on the road again.    

Update: Squeee! The nurse just called and the doctor reviewed my ultrasound.  He wasn't too concerned with the cyst and the size.  I guess if it was larger or I had more than one at this size we would have to cancel but he is ok with us proceeding.  I start my Gonal-f injections again tomorrow night!  Lesson learned- I shouldn't take everything the ultrasound nurse says as truth before the doctor reviews my plan and they call with a game plan.  Thank you for all of your kind words.  I was pretty bummed after my appointment this morning.

can't they put you on bcps for a cycle?  That should make sure that you don't have a 60+ day cycle and bcps are often used to help get rid of cysts.  Did they do any b/w?  I had a 14mm cyst that turned out not to be active and I was able to proceed with my IVF cycle, I was just delayed by 4 days

I will have to call and ask the nurse about the bcps.  They never mentioned that to me in my appointment this morning and no they didn't do any blood work.  Would they be checking my Estradiol levels to see if it was active or not? This is the first cyst I have ever had.

Definitely call and ask... at the very least you won't have to wait two more months before going in again.  Yes, b/w would check E2 levels.  Good luck!
