BOB Stroller Questions...

Hi, there!

I bought a used BOB stroller at a consignment sale last weekend... I like it so far, but now looking over some of the recommendations on jogging strollers, I realize that the only issue that I have with it is that you have to lift it to turn it... The front wheel seems "locked"... do some of them have a front wheel that stays locked in place all the time, or are they all "unlockable"? I also have no idea how old it is... Is there a way to figure it out? I haven't found a serial number but I'm curious if it's a really old one... is that bad? It looks to be in great shape and rides nicely... I inflated the tires a bit more and it seems clean... I guess for $75 it was a good deal, but I'm curious because I don't know much about jogging strollers. It's a teal/dark blue color, but I'm sure that lots of them are! How can I find out more about my recent purchase?

Dear God, Since I couldn't hold my little one in my lap and tell him about you, could you hold him in your lap and tell him about me?

Re: BOB Stroller Questions...

  • The wheel SHOULD unlock... there is a knob above the front tire that lifts and slides to lock in the fixed position (so it slides and drops to unlock). I'm not sure if all models are the same, but my wheel swivels. Here is a link to BOB manuals online: https://www.bobgear.com/manuals ... HTH. And FWIW my BOB was $400 new so if it's in good condition, $75 is a good deal.

  • Sounds like it may not be a revolution (with lock option).  Look on their website to find something similar.  I'm sure they will have some information.

  • BOB had different models.  The Ironman is a jogger with fixed wheels.  The Revolution has a switch on the front wheel to make it track straight.

This, and I think you can find a manufacturer date on the bottom near the wheels I think.

Check the website it will help/

  • Probably either a Sport Utility or Ironman BOB = fixed wheel.  Otherwise, take a look at the site as pp's said to find the manual to figure out how to unlock.  Its usually pretty easy though so I would guess its fixed.

  • Yeah, we have an Ironman so the front tire is fixed.  I only use it for jogging, so I didn't have a problem at all with that.  I got mine used as well, but paid $175 for it, so I think you got a killer deal.

  • We bought BOB stroller revolution for DS1 and now have twin Bob for both of them. Its great for jogging.

There is a red knob just above the front wheel for unlocking.
