Day 8 monitoring update (long)

Phew, what a day. Was too busy at work to post today, had my 4th monitoring this morning (today is day 8 of stims.) 

My H came along (he insisted, he's feeling bad that I have to "do so much", sweet of him but I warned him it would be boring.) So during the u/s the tech was not saying anything. At the end she said "you have 4 follicles on your left larger than 12mm with the largest at 15mm and four on your right larger than 12mm with the largest at 17mm" if anyone remembers yesterday's ultrasound showed 10 follies, 5 each side with at least two >18mm.

So as H and I were walking out I said "I hope it's a factor of how they are measuring, b/c the follicles should not be shrinking"

Off to work we went. By lunchtime I was getting anxious. My RE's office has a portal (website) that you can log into and see your lab results. So as I was eating lunch I checked and my results were up (even though the nurse hadn't called yet) and it showed 11 follicles ranging in size from 17.5-11.5. My E2 level was 1180. Yesterday it was 1110. Que freak out.

Nurse calls shortly after (and I'm expecting to hear bad news) she says I have your instructions "your follicles are growing nicely, your E2 only rose a little. Stay on 450ius of gonal-f and cetrotide again tonight and come back tomorrow for close monitoring" Huh. I say "Is my Dr. at all concerned that my E2 didn't rise like it has been (it's been doubling every 48 hours until today) she says "oh no, he's not concerned. Often with cetrotide it keeps your E2 levels from rising so from this point forward we'll use follicle size to determine where you are and when to trigger"

PHEW. I had no idea. And the fact that they are saying my follicles are still growing makes me think the discrepancy was just in the way the two techs measure.

I go back tomorrow morning. Trigger should be later this week.

IVF #3 (Sept. 2012) 39R, 25F, 13 blasts,  3 NORMALS! Freeze-all due to high E2.
FET #1 10/23- 2 expanded blasts, Beta #1 11/1- 113, Beta #2 11/4-351, Beta #3 11/7- 1213

    5w3d loss 7/30/10 - EDD March 2011
    8w loss 4/15/11 - EDD November 2011
    8w3d loss 8/2/12 - EDD March 2013
    4w c/p loss 10/29/12 - EDD July 2013

    Long story: trying on our own + testing testing testing with 6 rounds of Clomid, more testing, injectables + TI, laparoscopy - one tube blocked, 2 IUIs with Follistim...BFNs.
    RPL testing all normal, Karyotyping normal

    Moving on to IVF.

    IVF #1 April 2012 = BFN, IVF #2 June 2012 = BFP. U/S 7/23 = saw heartbeat but measuring behind. Follow up U/S on 7/30 - no heartbeat. D&C 8/2. Trisomy 12. IVF #3 Oct 2012 = Chemical Pregnancy

    Phone consult with CCRM on 12/12/12 - ODWU 1/4/13 - both tubes clear(!) - AFC 24, AMH 3.2, FSH 9.6, LH 5.4, E2 25. DH has high frag rate but improved!
    IVF #4 March 2013 CCRM. EP protocol w/ Menopur, Gonal-F & Dexamethasone. ER 3/29 & IMSI, PICSI. 43R 13M 10F 6blasts bio'd. CCS testing reveals 3 normals!!!
    FET 5/31/13 of 1 4AA blast - thawed and expanded. 4dp5dt BFP.
    Beta 9dp5dt = 181, 11dp5dt = 427. 1st u/s showed a healthy heartbeat! EDD 2/16/14

    After 4 years of hoping and heartbreak, our sweet little bean was born on 2/19/14
    We are so in love with her.

    I would have freaked out as well, but I am very happy to hear that things are progressing nicely. Good luck tomorrow!

    Excellent!  I had follies measure smaller the day after an u/s.  They said it could be the different machine.  And I've heard that about the cetrotide as well.  Good luck hun!

    I had not so of course I was worried beyond belief! We'll see what tomorrow brings at u/s. Now I'm thinking maybe Thursday trigger? I'm ok with that, hoping the tiny guys show up to the party by then :)

    BFP #1: 12/2009 m/c 1/2010 BFP #2: 6/2010 m/c 8/2010

    BFP #3: 10/2011 ectopic 11/2011 (right tube removed, learned left tube was probably nonfunctional due to scar tissue from infection after m/c)

    3 failed IUIs, IVF #1: 18R, 12M, 10F, 3 poor quality 5d embryos transferred= BFP #4!!!!!

    Betas: 9dp5dt: 64 ~14dp5dt: 91 (expecting miscarriage, doubling time of 236 hours) ~16dp5dt: 200~18dp5dt: 500

    First Ultrasound at 6w2d revealed two sacs, only one with a heartbeat

    LK arrived after 42 weeks on August 14, 2013! Beautiful, healthy, and happy!

    TTC#2: IVF booked for April 2015

    Surprise BFP#5 February 19, 2015 EDD: November 2, 2015

    Betas: 10dpo: 10, 14dpo: 77, 17dpo: 270

    First Ultrasound at 5w1d showed a miracle UTE baby! And right ovary ovulation to left fallopian tube.

    JD arrived at 38 weeks on October 20, 2015.

    TTC #3: Since October 2017. BFP #6 July 2, 2018 EDD: March 16, 2019 [/spoiler]

    Good thanks :) Got in for my cd3 ultrasound this morning and going back in to go over all of our test results in a couple weeks to see where to go from there. Just kind of waiting for that appt and to get a little more info and we will make a decision from there. Can't wait to hear how you make out this week!

    Awesome news on the CD3 testing. Can't wait to hear how everything goes! I'll keep you posted on me :)
