Help re cyst/e2 levels

I went in today for b/w & ultrasound. I was hoping I would get the all clear to start Provera & then BCP. During the ultrasound, the RE found a "follie" that was 21mm. He said he couldn't tell if it was a mature follie or a cyst. I just got a call from the nurse that they said it was an estrogen producing cyst. They said to take an Ovidrel tonight & to come back in a week for more b/w. My e2 was 247. Does this sound right?

I don't think I've had an estrogen producing cyst before (def have had plenty of cysts though) so this was unexpected. How would they know its a cyst & not a mature follie based on what I just wrote?


04/07/11- PCOS Diagnosis w/GYN. Put on Metformin (1500 mgs)
04/25/11- 1st consultation with RE (Confirmed PCOS & Anovulation)
05/09/11-HSG-All clear! 05/13/11-SA-Normal. Found out on 2/14/12, low Morph (1%).
06/17/11-10 days of Clomid (100, 150) No response.
07/10/11-03/20/12- 5 Injectable (Follistim) IUI cycles; 4 BFN, 1 C/P. (stims ranged from 11 days to 25 days)
05/28/12-Diagnosed with Hypothyroidism. 75 mcg Synthroid.

IVF with ICSI in June/July 2013 = BFP!. Beta # 1 = 123. Beta # 2 = 252. Due March 25th. Baby boy arrived March 27, 2013!

FET #1 - 10/4/14 = BFP!! Beta #1 = 179. Beta # 2 = 499. Due June 22nd.

    It sounds correct although i dont understand the ovidrel or not aspirating the cyst an e2 of 247 is too high to start they are looking for 80 and below. A radiologist or closer review of cyst will show what type it is

    The nurse said it would make me ovulate the cyst...I've never heard of it before either. Doesn't an E2 of 247 also indicate 1 mature follie? I'm just confused how they know based off my E2 that it was a cyst. Either that, or there were other numbers they were looking at that would give the full picture? I'm going to talk to my nurse about it tomorrow (she was off today & another nurse called me)
