Bright colors and opening the windows. I get dressed in bright colors. I cook with bright colors. I decorate with bright colors. The fresh air and light from the windows helps me relax. It doesn't fix life but lightens my mood for a little while.
Take the dog for a walk or watch a really funny movie. I love walks when I need to clear my head and honestly I am not sure how you can be in a bad mood when watching Step Brothers (or something along those lines).

Getting out and getting my mind off of everything. Yesterday, the sun was shining, and i went out to a bridal fair at a winery with my sister in law because she's getting married in the fall. Focusing on her happy event got my mind off of my struggles. The couple of glasses of wine certainly helped too!
I've mentioned this before on this board, so sorry if I'm a broken record, BUT I love my acro yoga class. It forces me to focus on what I'm doing to avoid falling on my face, and it's fun at the same time. so it clears my head. Also: watching tv with my husband, going out to eat, hanging out with non-pg friends, reading books.
ETA: my DH and I re-watched our wedding video last week (around our anniversary) and it was my favorite thing I did. It was sort of helpful in this context too to recall all of that joy and hope.
I second the fresh air and getting out into the sunlight, that helps a lot. Also I'm a total dork, I rediscovered my old Fox Trot comic collections that I've had forever and started re-reading them - they make me laugh so much! Also, silly TV is awesome I am looking forward to The Bachelorette tonight

The Bachelorette is totally my guilty pleasure! Thanks for reminding me it's on tonight!

I'm stealing the bolded - what a great idea!!
To improve my mood, I get outside, go shopping (bad habit) or exercise. Yoga works best for me, too!

Hope you enjoy it, MissRachel! I think it is a fabulous date night at home for once in a blue moon. We also drank an entire bottle of fancy champagne while we watched, so that didn't hurt. The bottle was actually an engagement gift that we had been holding onto for the past four years. But more seriously, our vows and all the words the officiant and others said have new meaning to me now. And I have always loved watching the scenes of everyone from toddler nieces to my grandparents dancing joyously together.
