help DD started new habit

It's as if dd knows that she will start daycare in a month haha I use to be able to put her down for a nap with no problem. Now she screams and fights it. If she falls alseep it would only be for about 15 minutes until I take her becuase she's crying and then she falls right to sleep in my arms for about 2 hours. I tried putting her in her crib whiel sleep but she wakes right up. I'm worried that she is starting this now and that it will make it hard for her in day care. Would it? thanks

  • throw in a movie and enjoy these special moments.  DD will adjust when she starts daycare.  some of my fondest memories of ML was when i was holding dd when she was napping.

  • I agree with mrsnewlywed2005; enjoy!!! Yes, they will go in and out of phases. Many times it's really a "test" to see how quick you jump and yes the faster you jump... But, seriously, on days when you can, just enjoy the time she sleeps in your arms for hours...

  • DD stopped napping in my arms at around 6 months. I miss it! :-( I don't think you're creating any bad habits at the moment...
  • On the weekends, I still like to hold DS and maybe take a nap with him or watch some DVR shows.  I love it.  Your DD will adjust to daycare.  Some days she might not nap long, though!
  • No, it is unlikely to be an issue.  DD went through this and I could only get her to nap in the carrier, wearing her around the house.  She adjusted to naptime at daycare with no problems.

  • Sounds like my son, he never napped in his crib before he started daycare.  I used to wear him in the Moby and go about my business.  I was worried about daycare naps, but I figured it wouldn't be much longer before he would never nap in the Moby again - and I loved it.  I felt selfish, but I couldn't give it up.  He was able to transition to napping at daycare just fine, and the best part is now he naps in his crib at home!
