Does the Moby have a weight minimum?

DD pretty much only wants to be held. Which is fine with me, but it'd be great to have the use of my hands/arms. =). DD is a little peanut, at 2.5 weeks she's not quite 7lbs yet. Can I wear her in my Moby? I though I read that it was an 8lb minimum, but then I also heard of people putting smaller babies in.

Re: Does the Moby have a weight minimum?

  • We started using the moby the night we came home from the hospital and he was 7lbs at the time.  I know your peanut is a little smaller, but I would think it would be okay.

  • I dont know the official rules, but I definitely wore my babies under 8lbs.

  • The little tag says it's for 8 lbs and up but I am currently wearing my under seven pound baby. He's snuggling and breathing. I say you're good to go.
  • DS was 5.5# when he came home and I wore him.
