DH and I found a TERRIFIC home for the sweet puppy that we fostered last week! We were informed from a neighbor that someone did indeed drop the puppy off in our backyard Monday night. She was soo freaking sweet and cute. I cried when the man took her home. Old man took "lil bit" home to his 9 year old granddaughter. I took "lil bit" to the vet Saturday morning to get her rabies shot b4 I adopted her out but he said according to her teeth she's only about 3-4 months old.
Now for the baby quail. We lost one. We don't think it quiet finished developing before hatching. We gave those 11 babies to a boy who is raising them and we had 7 more hatch Saturday morning!

right now we only have 2 that are old enough to lay but when the rest get older they will typically lay one egg a day. my parents have a huge yard out in the country so thats where the chickens are. the pen is probably 20' by 20' but when they are full grown we will let them roam. we had about 20 chickens a couple of years ago (my dads german shepard took care of them if you know what I mean) & we would get about 7 dozen eggs a week.
