Thoughts on this name?

My fiance did not want to find out the sex of this baby, but of course I had to...and it's ANOTHER boy. I had thought this entire time it was a girl, so never thought much about a boy name. His heart is set on Marshall. I think I hate it lol...but don't want to argue too much becasue he'll know it's a boy. We had already agreed on a girl name and he's convinced it's a girl too, so everytime I bring it up, he says "why are you wasting our time...you already know it's a girl and have given me enough hints." So thoughts on the name Marshall?

I think of that movie about the high school or the retail store when I hear it. I would say I'm "eh" about it.  I don't hate it but I don't love it no nickname either?

I don't hate it. It's NMS though. When I hear the name I think of Eminem ( Marshall Mathers).

I know a really great guy named Marshall and I love How I Met Your Mother so I like it. It usually gets shortened to Marsh by lazy people... so that's something to think about.

I have to ask though. Does your husband not know that you found out?

I think it's adorable. But if YOU don't like the name, you shouldn't use it. Maybe just tell your boyfriend that you'd like to have a definite boy name in the "off chance" that it is a boy and you aren't settled with Marshall. If he refuses to talk about it, then tell him you'll be picking a name. He's in for a surprise either way

I really like the name Marshall, one of my good friends is a Marshall. And one of my unlces name is Jay Marshall so maybe you can use it as a middle name. That way he can be happy and you can pick a first name that you like.

He does know that I found out. He said he didn't care if I knew, just don't let him find out! He actually called me on my way home from work this morning and asked if I like Elijah and I was thrilled! So my little Elijah will be here in august!!!! Now to pick a middle name?
