C-sections

Do they ever...

really do a tummy tuck along with a c/s?

It might be a really dumb question but it sounds like a lovely idea! I hear people joking about all the time.

Re: Do they ever...

  • No, not really. Actually, they don't recommend doing it at the same time because your uterus is still so large, and so is your abdomen. Ideal time is at least 6 months AFTER you have the baby when your uterus and belly have shrunk and they can "tuck"..........

That makes sense... I guess maybe I should keep with those sit ups. Confused

Sit ups are okay, but you need to do major "core" work in order to slim down your abdominals. Pilates is your best bet. If you can do machine pilates - you'll be golden!

Oh, I know that, but some people (not you) think that if they do enough sit-ups their belly will get flat and it's not that easy.........I wish it were! LOL!

  • I give my doctor heck about it all the time - telling him that he needs to pioneer the procedure of doing a tummy tuck while doing a c-section but It's really just to give him a hard time and laugh with him.

  • Mine did a mini one.  Basically, he was trying to remove a lot of the sagging skin that resulted from my previous cesarean and excess scar tissue.  He removed and restitched up a lot.
