~?*??*?~Ladies In Waiting Check In~?*??*?~

****I hope posting this so early today doesn't throw anyone off guard... I am fighting an awful headache, near migraine status so I will be off to bed soon.  Also, I may not be able to respond to any posts until late tomorrow night as I have school things going on tomorrow after school until 7pm!****

This check-in is for Monday May 21st.  Please feel free to begin checking in now!

This is a group designed for all the ladies in the various stages of waiting after a loss: waiting to miscarry, waiting for AF to arrive, waiting to TTC again, and waiting for a BFP.   Since this process is such a true test in patience, it is nice to have the support and friendship of other women going through similar experiences and emotions.

Check in every Monday and Thursday.

New members: Post an introduction and your current TTC status and I will add you to the list! Welcome :-)

Current members: Post your updates, link to your chart, upcoming appointments, prayer requests, and if you get a BFP, please feel free to post here (along with your EDD).

There will be a question, a place for prayer request, and an inspirational verse.  We look forward to getting to know you!

Welcome ashleymarie2390 and krisztina33.  I?m sorry for your loss, I hope you find support and comfort here.

csuperstar02- Have you heard back from the RE yet?

pinktrojanbride-  How?d the state testing go?  Did you call the doctor yet?

killian09-  I hope this doesn?t worry you and if this is not the place tell me, but is it possible the inconclusive u/s of the cyst near your tube/ovary could be another ectopic?  I don?t want to upset you, just wondering if your doc considered this possibility, since people more commonly hear of ?ectopic? as tubal... when in fact it can be anywhere outside of the uterus.

big_noise-  good luck with your u/s this week!

DC2London-  How do you feel about your O date?  I know you were kind of on the fence about it, but I think it looks pretty clear for you now- and with great timing!

Smootiepie-  So sorry about your recent IF testing results, when is your next appointment?

?~?~?~?~?~?~?~?~?~?~?~?~?~?~?~?~?~?~?~?~?~?~?~?~?~?~

Question of the day:  I often find myself interested in all things pregnancy, loss and IF.  Has there been a movie, TV show, book, blog or something else that you?ve enjoyed related to pregnancy, loss or IF?  Or not enjoyed for that matter?

Re: ~?*??*?~Ladies In Waiting Check In~?*??*?~

  • Update:  I had my CD 7 appointment today... had two follies on my right and one on my left.  My RE was pleased with this so I will continue injections at this dose at least through my next appointment.  I go back Thursday (CD 11) for another u/s to determine whether or not I'm ready to trigger!

QOTD:  I read 'Heaven is for Real' last summer, the night before I started having my second m/c ironically.  It was very comforting after the fact.  I just began reading 'Hannah's Hope' which is written by a women who struggled with IF, pregnancy loss and adoption loss.  It's been good so far!

  • Good evening, ladies!

Update: I have been having lots of EWCM this weekend. What a waste...oh well. It does mean I am (hopefully) about halfway through my last TTA cycle. Although my temps keep going down.  Hopefully I see an increase early this week. I still have not heard about my bloodwork results, so I am planning on calling tomorrow.

QOTD: No, I have not been too interested in the subject, besides some research online about repeat losses. I did watch the 19 kids and counting special about their loss.

BEB: My MIL gave me Heaven is for Real just after my second loss. I started reading it, but didn't get very far. I am hoping to get back to it once summer gets here!

  • Hi BEB--so sorry to hear you aren't feeling well.  I struggle with migraines and know how bad those can get :(. Hope you wake up feeling better!

Update:  AF arrived which was a huge relief.  I think she might stay a little longer than usual but I am just happy to have hit CD 1 post MC.

My colonscopy actually got moved to this Tuesday--I had some new symptoms pop up that concerned him so here's to hoping I get some answers soon!  Not enjoying the prep part--I will spare you ladies the details.  :)

Hope everyone has a wonderful week!!

    !

Update: I'm inclined now to believe the later O date.  If I had O'ed on CD14, AF should be here by now anyway.  Just waiting to test, now.

    FX for you DC2London! :)

BEB, I'm sorry about your migraine, that's awful. :(  I hope you're feeling much better by the time you read this.

Update:  State testing is o-v-e-r, thank goodness!  I had to shield my eyes from the many wrong answers my kiddos were making.  Now there's no looking back, I just hope the results come back better than I'm expecting :P :)

I did call the doctor's office, and am waiting for said doctor to call me back and let me know whether or not I need to come in.  In the meantime, I am looking up info about provera. :)

QOTD: I am constantly surfing the web for little poems, articles, or info about m/c, just so that I don't feel alone.  I'm currently reading through Surviving Pregnancy Loss that I picked up from the library.  It was written in 1985, but it's still very relevant.

  • My follicles are growing. :) They were 11 and 13 mm on Friday, so I go back tomorrow for another monitoring appointment. If I'm not ready to trigger yet, then I will have an HSG. Hoping I'll be ready to trigger on Wednesday!

QOTW: I avoid all of these topics in entertainment because it usually will just upset me. I'm sure once I have my happy ending, I will be able to enjoy them again (though perhaps with a more cynical view still).

  • Hi ladies!

BEB, glad your headache is simmering down.

Update: NO!! I have NOT gotten any results, uggh.

    - called on Thursday; the nurse called back to let me know she got my message,

    - nurse called Friday: they called to ask for the films (?) and should get them Mon or Tue - Dr will go over them. I'm on the list for a phone consult on Wednesday.

This all just seems like a long time for results from an imaging lab that's in the.same.building.

QOTD: All I do is find stuff on the interwebz related to all this jazz! Most recently I've been reading everything adoption-related and blogs by other unicorns Wink. The best thing has been a yahoo group for Mullerian Anomalies - different uterus abnormalities. It led me to a group specifically for unicornuate uterus - it's called the UU Sisterhood. • Hello Ladies! Hope you are having a nice Sunday evening (or Monday morning depending on when you read this!)

Update: I am CD 13 and having mixed signs. Yesterday I had a near positive OPK but it was definitely lighter than the control line. Today I got a much fainter line and it actually showed up as a plus. I searched the internet and found no OPK test samples showing that so I don't know what to think. My temps went up on CD 12 and today, but only to 97.04 and then 97.15 which is really low so I don't think I Od. My cervical position still shows fertile but I have no EWCM....so I don't know what the heck is going on! I am just sticking to my BD plan of CD11, CD13 and CD 15. Question: Does anyone know if FF will give cross hairs if there is a thermal shift but never a + OPK?

QOTD: Nothing really....mostly read some loss related blogs.

Eggs-cellent way to look at things (regarding EWCM)!  Get it?  Eggs-cellent?  LOL, I am a little corny Smile

ETA:  Absolutely start reading that book again!  My MIL also gave it to me and I was shocked at the level of comfort it gave me.

I could have written this!  The last 2-3 cycles AF disappeared by CD 4 and came BACK around CD 6-7... that is me today.  Ugh.  I'm just nervous because I know my follies will be ready by this weekend, possibly Thursday.  When are we supposed to DTD?!

I think your chart looks very nice now!  I've not have FF move CHs on me but I'm sure you're feeling more relieved now that they appear to have stayed put!

Hi BEB! Sorry you're not feeling well, but I hope by the time you read this your migraine is gone!

Nothing much to update, just waiting to test later this week. The goal is to at least make it to Wednesday, which will be 10DPO. We had great timing this cycle (and a lot of it) so we'll see if this is it. I'm feeling more optimistic than I think I should for no reason in particular.

QOTD: Nothing really specific to loss/pregnancy, but I've been listening to songs that are focused on starting over and putting my doubts behind me. Music is my emotional outlet for sure.

    Fx for you!!!!!

Music really does it for me too!  I have a handful of songs that either directly relate to loss or are symbolic of.

Yes- you will get CHs without a +OPK, they will just be dotted and not solid, which means, O date is questionable due to ALL signs not lining up (CM, CP, temps and OPKs) but with the data FF has, they're somewhat certain of your O date.

I am guessing if your temp is up again today, that you'll get CHs with Friday as a O date.

I keep missing these check-ins, thought I would pop in today now that I am home sick.

I am on CD 7 and have been really feeling ill the last few days. Am going to go to the doctor's today, but in booking my appt. and describing my trouble - severe nausea, she asked me if I was sure I was not pregnant. Um, yeah, it started during my period so I am pretty sure.... arg. Not looking forward to this appointment now.

Hopefully will start feeling better soon. Started OPK's yesterday since I have a short cycle, but only a faint line. Hopefully will be better by the time I get a positive.

GTKY question - Don't know, not too interested in movies and books about pregnancy. I read a lot, but more heavy lit. fix, and none come to mind about preg and loss, although I am sure I just cannot think of any good ones right now.

Sorry you're not feeling well.  Both my husband and I were sick this weekend.  I hope the doctor gives you something good to help you feel better Smile

  • Good Morning, LIW!  Hope everyone is having a great start to the week!

Update: I posted about this over the weekend, but I started HEAVY bleeding again.  Bright red blood with clots as large as/larger than the ones I had with cyctoec to induce my m/c.  I was bleeding through a super tampon in <2 hours and had blood coming down my leg it was soo heavy.  I was working over the weekend so paged my GYN.  She said with my beta levels as low as they were (16) she thinks it's my first AF, even though I never stopped bleeding from m/c technically.  I am going to call the office today and get another blood draw to see if yes AF or no..which could mean retained tissue.  She mentioned doing another u/s but it will likely be inconclusive.  If it is AF my layers will be thickened again like my last u/s so it won't tell us much of anything.  I'm kinda hoping it is AF and we could TTC this month...it would give us an EDD of 2/23 but I am high risk so will go 2-3 weeks early so late January/early February.  I, as flameful as it may sound, do NOT want a spring baby if I can avoid it...I am a March baby and I hated it.
If we decide not to TTC this cycle, we will likely wait a few more to decide to do anything until closer to August/Sept.  I just want to know what the heck is going on right now with all this crazy clotting/bleeding again!

QOTD: Honestly, you guys!  I haven't read much on fertility.  I am a big song person so I've been really listening to our worship music from church and some of those songs have really helped me.  Some of them are, "Healing is in your hands" and "Waiting here for you" along with many others.  This blog has been my savior along with a few others

Update: I do not chart but I got a positive OPK last Monday which is on schedule for my 25 day cycles. The inlaws are visiting this weekend so DH and I agreed that I should test Friday (bc there will be drinking involved with their visit, there always is).

QOTD: I am a huge reader but I haven't read anything that deals with preg/loss yet! But I am going to look into some of the books that have been mentioned.

  • I'm 9 DPO, so just waiting to test or get AF.  Had a temp drop this morning, so I'm not super hopeful right now.  Will be calling this morning when the doc's office opens to see if I can schedule my follow-up appointment...fun fun!

QOTD: Funny you should ask, because I literally just started reading "The God Who Sees You" last night.  It's about how to change your mindset when you're feeling invisible to God.  I was super excited to start it, then started bawling as it mentioned a teen pregnancy on the first page.  I've forced myself through a few chapters so far, had some good cries, and am still looking forward to finishing it.

  • Today - STILL waiting for bleeding to stop after m/c. It's now been 10 days and is starting to be really irritating. I go in Friday to check HCG levels and if it hasn't stopped by then I'm going to whine to my doctor about it and see what's going on. She did an ultrasound last week and said everything looked fine, no leftover tissue, cervix closed up tight, lining thinned, etc. Ugh.

QOTD: Nothing inspirational, I just really wish the What to Expect When You're Expecting movie trailers would STFU. Tongue Tied

Update:  This is my first time posting.  I'm currently waiting to stop bleeding post-birth.  It's been ~2 weeks now, and things seem to be getting slower, but I bet it will be another week before I fully stop.  Ugh.

QOTD: I've spent a lot of my time off from work reading a book about grief --- "Empty Cradle, Broken Heart: Surviving the Death of your Baby" by Deborah Davis.  I think it's really helped me work through a lot of my grief.  And the guilt....I look back at decisions that were made during and after the birth and I would do it differently now, but I know we did the best we could in the moment.  This book has been helping me accept that so I don't keep beating myself up.

I'm glad it's not just me!!! FX it stops for both of us soon.

killian09-  I hope this doesn?t worry you and if this is not the place tell me, but is it possible the inconclusive u/s of the cyst near your tube/ovary could be another ectopic?  I don?t want to upset you, just wondering if your doc considered this possibility, since people more commonly hear of ?ectopic? as tubal... when in fact it can be anywhere outside of the uterus.

Hi BEB--hope your headache is getting better!  I just saw my ob/gyn, and she wasn't too worried about the cyst.  She said it was probably an image of the ectopic pg blood collecting and the body just hasn't finished reabsorbing it yet. I'm not pg again--we tracked my hCG to zero with bloodwork, and HPT's remain negative.  So I have an MRI in 6 weeks just as sort of due diligence to make sure it doesn't get bigger, but hopefully it shouldn't be anything worrisome. Thanks for your concern and thoughts though!  You are right that part of the initial workup of this cyst (from 2 months ago) included the possibility of ectopic pg w/implantation site on the ovary.

DH and I had the RPL blood panel drawn today. We've been told it probably won't turn up anything, but maybe it will be helpful to at least rule out these other possibilities.  My DH was sort of nervous about the blood draw, so I couldn't resist rubbing it in a little that this was my 18th blood draw since September (I pulled up my electronic health record and counted). Plus mine involved way more tubes than his.  :p

QOTD: Hmm...  I appreciated the depiction of repeated m/c in The Help--it resonated with me--but it was extremely stressful to watch, made me pretty upset, and I can't say I learned anything.  Maybe it was a little cathartic.  I thought this article's description was pretty on point too:

Me too!!  Ugh.  Although I've been told one couple in the movie has a m/c (?), so I'm glad they are depicting that too.  But I have no desire whatsoever to watch it. And I hate the ads.

  • Welcome ashleymarie2390 and krisztina33, I hope you find comfort and support here. Update: I feel that I O'd on CD22. My temps have been higher since then. I have a 12 day LP so I should be able to test on the 24th or 25th before I go to my appointment. Depending on how it goes will decide how we approach TTC after this. Okay so last night I said to DH that I feel beat. Physically and mentally and emotionally. I said that I feel like giving up and with the PCOS and my bodies resistance to the Metformin my only option to keep my body regulated and make sure the PCOS doesn't progress to something like cervical cancer is to go back on birth control. Which means no babies. His response was to wait til my appointment and see what the doctor says and what his plan is. Which is fine and was my plan anyway. I just love how supportive he is. I am so blessed to have him. QOTD: I have a small bag full of pg books, I read them occasionally. I also find myself starting baby wish lists and registries. I have a Pinterest with possible baby stuff. I also love Private Practice. I think they cover loss and how it should be seen very well. I go to the Carly Marie site quite often, I find it very comforting.

  • NEW MEMBERS- What a great post- and fun to read how everyone is doing on a Monday- i'm in 2ww....feel nauseous and tired. BD'd before and after OPK...but thing is....I never really get excited or happy if I get a BFP- I get so scared. Had 3 MC's in a row...I might test this Friday when I'm off to a wedding.

It seems everytime I get a BFP before a MC I'm at a wedding or New Year's and I don't drink cause I'm "pregnant" and things never work out.

    Sorry- I'm bitter and scared.

Today - STILL waiting for bleeding to stop after m/c. Ugh.

Good Morning, LIW!

Sorry to hear you're still dealing with crazy bleeding!  I hope you get some answers!

MeganS313, hope you can get some answers soon! sorry you are going through this!!

    Fx for Friday!

I'm 9 DPO, so just waiting to test or get AF.

I just so your other post that they're making you wait so long for your results- I would call again and DEMAND them over the phone if they're not willing to get you in sooner.  That is ridiculous they would make you wake so long- we didn't even wait that long for our chromosome testing!

Waiting for the bleeding to stop is the worst.  I know for me I hated seeing that reminder every day!  I also hate seeing those stupid trailers- I hope they slow down!

Sounds like your OBGYN has a good eye on that cyst- I hope  when it gets checked out again it's not there!  MH and I also had RPL b/w and karyotyping done- and MH acted the same way!  I have been poked far more than he and I had several tubes of blood and he had like 2.  I poked fun at him as well Wink  My RE said the same thing, probably won't show anything, and it didn't, but the peace of mind is priceless!  Good luck- I hope the results are good.

I haven't seen The Help yet but I look forward to it as I've heard it's really good!  I actually want to read the book first this summer since I've only got 7 (school) days left!
