Baby Names

Help me name my girl! (newbie)

I have about 13 days  left, baby is expected on my birthday! But in all of the confusion of being first time parents, we completely have not thought of a name for our little girl yet. DH likes Renee, but I feel like it's over used nowadays. I can't come up with anything though! Our last name is Uneco. Thank for your help! We like names that are very light, not very long, and easy to say, considering her last name.

  • It would help if you'd give some ideas of the style of names you like. That said, I do like Renee and I don't feel it's overused at all. Some names I like-

Daphne, Brenna, Anna, Lucille (Lucy), Autumn, Juniper (June), Kate, Natalie, Brooke, India, Sonia, Corinne, Belle, Isadora, Veda

  • Renee was ranked 834 for 2011 so it's far from overused. I like it.

Some of my other favorites: Blair, June, Greta, Iris, Ivy, Carys.

  • I agree with pp's that Renee is quite underused. I would use it if you love it.

Renee overused?!  No way!  There were only 314 Renee's born across the country in 2011 (my DD being one of them Wink).  I get SO many compliments on my daugher's name.  It's uncommon, easy to spell and easy to pronounce.  What's there not to love?

I don't think Renee is overused at all. If you and your H both like it, go for it!
