f/u to AF? post (slightly ventish)

So, I have been bleeding excessively for the entire day now.  Like a super tampon is saturated in <2 hours with blood running down my leg...which is not fun when I'm at work. 
I called the GYN who's been helping me with the m/c and she said she feels like with my betas being 16 on Tuesday that it's AF's first visit. I told her about the heavy bleeding and large clots and she knows I never stopped bleeding from the m/c.  She told me it was uncommon to never stop bleeding but it was a possibility. 
I am going to call the office on Monday am and get more bloodwork to check my betas (hopefully one last time) and possibly an u/s.  She mentioned the problem with the u/s is that if it is AF visiting, my endometrium will be thickened again and it may be inconclusive. 

Seriously!  I am SOO annoyed at my body right now.  I was thinking the bleeding would stop and then we'd have a small break and then AF would come...like a normal person.  Why can't I just be normal!  Don't get me wrong, it if is AF then we can try again when we want but my fear is that I have a retained piece of tissue causing the bleeding.  My regular Doc said this was a possibility and that we could end up with a d/c anways to remove it...which we wanted to avoid and why we used cytotec!  I'm just ready for this all to end and get on with it!  I'm a planning kind of person and all this variability is killing me!

I am so sorry you're dealing with this. I had retained tissue and really hope that's not the case for you. I can definitely relate to wanting it all to just be over so you can move on. ((big hugs)) Really, really hope it's AF, even though it sucks you never stopped bleeding.

Sorry you are dealing with this.  Hopefully there is no retained tissue.  With the betas so low, I am very optimistic that they will be at zero on Monday and reassure everyone.  The first AF after a m/c can be different than usual--either heavier or lighter--so FX that is the only explanation and that it lightens up and becomes more normal soon.

I'm so sorry!  I hope your doctor can give you some answers and that you don't need a d& c.  I am praying it is just AF ((hugs))

AF did the same to me. She snuck in at the end of my m/c bleeding. I think my betas were 11 at the time.   The bleeding was really heavy too. A super and a pad as backup.  I felt the same as you about being normal, I was sooo over the bleeding.  I really hope it is AF for you too.
