I have had 1 successful pregnancy.
I found out I was pregnant again last week. This Thursday I was 6 weeks. This Friday I had discharge that was light pink. I called the dr and they said not to worry. Within two hours I started bleeding RED blood and it has continued into Saturday.
The bleeding is not incredibly heavy but enough that I need to wear a regular pad. I am passing clots like during a period. However, my period is never this RED blood, it is normally a burgundy color. I am not cramping a lot, some minimal pain. The dr. said for me to come in Monday.
I just don't know what to think. I actually wanted to take another pregnancy test just to see, but I am scared so I haven't.
Re: Pretty sure I am miscarrying...
I'm sorry you're going through this and am surprised your doctor is having you wait until Monday. I would probably go to the ER, if it were me. If everything is okay, the peace of mind would be worth every penny, and if it's not, well, it would be good to have that confirmation too.
Unfortunately a pregnancy test won't tell you much, since you likely have HCG in your system still, even if you are miscarrying.
Agin, so sorry you're dealing with this.

I am so very sorry, Daniella. A pregnancy test won't tell you anything because, even if you are miscarrying, sadly, it will show positive from residual hormones. If I were you, I would go to the ER, but that is my opinion. Thoughts and prayers to you.
Edit: wording
First of all, I'm very sorry for what you're going through. Wishing you all the best with the doctor on Monday. Remember that you can go to the ER for an emergency ultrasound if you feel inclined. This is what I did and they also gave me morphine for my pain.
Unfortunately, a pg test right now won't give you any answers right now. If you are miscarrying, it will still be positive because the hormones remain in your system for some time (think several days to several weeks).
Does your OB or PCP's office have an after-hours emergency line? If so, I would call them. Best of luck to you.

I'm so sorry you are going through this, I am hoping that everything turns out okay for you. Both of my losses were at 6 weeks, With my first one my doctor also told me to just stay home and come in on Monday (my first was on a Saturday). I had a lot of pain so I did go in to the ER. My second was not painful and I knew what to expect so I stayed home.
If you are in pain I suggest going to the ER. I also second the PPs suggestions to call the after hours line. It is a scary thing to go through, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

I am so sorry you are going through this. I personally would agree with your Dr to wait until monday if you can emotionally handle it and are not in any serious pain or bleeding through 1 pad in an hour. Sometimes ER drs are kind of... dumb. I have had many run ins with them when they gave me the wrong information (Not pregnancy related... but still). Also, I had a very insensitive Dr that did not deliver the news to me well at all. I personally feel like getting that horrible news may have been better in my dr's office where he would have had a chance to explain everything to me. I will be praying for you, please also check out the Miscarriage/Pregnancy Loss board if your news is not good tomorrow. You are of course welcome here but there will be more ladies at your same stage there.
